Apple Keyboard: Use Software Update to install the latest keyboard software
Summary
Your aluminum Apple Keyboard (2007) has special features (Exposé, Dashboard, screen brightness, audio control and so on) preassigned to the function keys. To take advantage of these features, you must install the Keyboard Software Update 1.1 using the Software Update process.
Note: Your computer must have Mac OS X 10.4.10 installed to recognize Keyboard Software Update 1.1.

To install Keyboard Software Update 1.1 or later:
- Confirm the keyboard is connected to the Mac.
- From the Apple menu, select Software Update.
- Install the Mac OS 10.4.10 software update if you have not already done so.
- Run Software Update again to download the latest update, or manually download the update from here.
